Alcons Audio will be demonstrating significant new pro-ribbon products in the US and Europe, as the company heads for the NAMM and ISE trade shows.

This week, NAMM covers all the markets that Alcons Audio’s problem-solving portfolio of pro-ribbon systems addresses - from high-end studio production through to the largest live music events. 

Besides demonstrations, two special guests will be present as well: 

Special guest Michael Larcey, FOH engineer and Production manager for the band O.A.R., will share his experiences touring with and mixing on the Alcons LR24 system.

Legendary and award winning studio designer Sam Berkow will share some of his thoughts on the benefits of Pro-Ribbon technology and will play some of his favourite test tracks on the upcoming M- series.

WR20

The WR20 is a 2-way loudspeaker to be used as high performance stage monitor sound system. Loaded with the RBN702rs pro-ribbon and dual 10” Active Coil™ woofers, the passive-filtered system combines the highest sound quality with very high SPL capabilities in a compact and flexible form factor. 

It brings Alcons’ sonic signature sound to live-sound monitoring applications.

QRP40 + QB363

The QRP40 2-way column loudspeaker, loaded with 8 5”woofers and the RBN1203 12” / 30cm pro-ribbon driver, is designed for applications where ultimate fidelity response needs to be projected with wide horizontal and narrow vertical coverage, ideal in acoustically challenging environments. 

The triple 12” QB363 mkII arrayable subwoofer forms the perfect base as slim profile stack system with the QRP40. 

LR24

The LR24 3-way mid-size line array system for medium to larger applications delivers Hi-Fi sound quality at concert sound pressure levels.

With a unique maximum dynamic headroom reserve and the lowest possible distortion, its fully symmetrical, coherent pattern control in the horizontal and side-lobe-free projection in the vertical plane caters for an unprecedented throw and dispersion accuracy.

M-series

The upcoming M-series is the group of reference monitor systems, to be used for critical sound reproduction in any application where ultimate analytical sound reproduction is required, combined with an exceptionally wide dynamic range. 

The M-series raises the benchmark for reference monitoring in terms of dynamic capabilities, depth-of-field, imaging and audio resolution.
